While dusting one afternoon, I saw a puzzle box stacked in a corner with my board game collection. I wondered if I still had what it takes to put all those tiny pieces together. It is only a couple thousand, right?! Putting the puzzle together took me to a place deep in thought. The wheels began to turn in my mind, producing mostly random thoughts. However, one of them actually stuck as I thought about how much life is like a giant puzzle.
It's complex. It requires determination, motivation and our time.
We have this basic set of instructions that are to be followed. We need support and often assistance from others.
Our puzzle may never seem clear and our plans may rarely turn out as expected. However, strength to put the puzzle together will always be provided. We are never given more than we can handle and when the puzzle looks like it will never fit together, we find the pieces that were missing.
We must look at the bigger picture, you know...the one on the cover of the box. Only there will we find the final product as it should be, the motivation to continue working on the task at hand and the reassurance that we can put the pieces in their proper place.
Honestly, the pieces of my puzzle have generally fallen into place when I least expected it. With persistance and prayer, things have always come together.
